1-1: Tampa Bay Rolling Thunder:
QB - Troy Staubach
College: Navy
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 230 lbs
The Rolling Thunder drafted their Franchise QB, and the man they want for the job. At the time of the pick, this was a good pick, not great though. A better pick would probably have been Jones-Drew, as he was willing to accept a redshirt and there were several QBs in the draft class. This pick handed over Jones-Drew to the RB-less Bunnies at #2, which can backfire as the Bunnies are a divisional rival. Staubach is a proven active player, but I still expect the rookie pains of any other rookie QB starting in this league. Staubach may be a great member, but he is not above the league and the league's talent will drag him down in his rookie year, the thing Staubach needs to do is wrok even harder to pull through it. When GM Adam Simms was asked about his 1st pick as a GM in FSJ, he had this to say:[/color]Draft Grade: B
(grade before the Pitzer signing, QB was a stretch at #1 OVR no matter what member it is)
1-2: Roseville Bunnies:
RB - Edgerrin Jones-Drew
College: Michigan
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 210
The Bunnies have drafted their Franchise RB, and the man for the job as he was a top updater as Adrian Wilson. Expect great thing of this rookie sensation. J-D has all the workings to make a great player including his hyper-active work methods. There was no other possible pick to take here for the Bunnies as it was the best player on the board and a major team need. This player has some points waiting in the wings, from P4 last season along with his rookie contract and TT, this player will be great in no time. Expect great things from this hyper-active player following his rocky rookie year. When GM A.J. Barnett was asked about his first pick of the draft he had this to say:Draft Grade: A
(idk of such thing as an A+ draft grade, sorry)
1-3: Roseville Bunnies:
FS - Christian Ruud
College: Nebraska
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 250 lbs
Going into the draft Ruud didn't mind what position he would play, making him marketable to all teams. He made himself easily a top 2 defensive player in this draft as he has a proven track record in this league and all leagues he is in. As the Bunnies still had holes on their defense at draft time, they had to take a versatile player that could fill whatever the team needed. Ruud also had 20 points racked up that were unadded to add to his utility play. Expect great things from this hyper-active player following his rocky rookie year. Ruud has shown interest in becoming an official simmer for the league too, just adding more points to his player. When GM A.J. Barnett was asked about his first pick of the draft he had this to say:Draft Grade: B+
(This player will remain active, but maybe not HoF worthy as his position may vary from year to year)

We are happy to bring in a young franchise QB like Troy..
he will be a building stone for the future of this Franchise. Its the start of great things to come.

I expected EGD to go #1 overall. I would've been happy with either EGD or Barbarian, but the simming capabilities gave EGD the edge. I couldn't be happier with our picks and I wouldn't go back and change anything if given the opportunity.
