Wasn't Lesnar a beastly amature wrestler? What happened?

I, like many others, think that in a year or two Lesnar will be a beast in the cage, but as it was he was a fighter with 1 MMA fight against a former world champ.
Lesnar caught a bad break when he hammerfisted Mir in the back of the head and lost a point and was forced to stand it back up. Not to say he still would not have lost if Mazzagatti warns him and does not make him relinquish position.

I thought it was gay that they got stood back up. Also, it was a rookie mistake that Lesner made that shouldn't happen again with more MMA experience. If you look at Mir's face after a very short fight it's quite clear that if the fight went on much longer, he was screwed. This fight was so close to being stopped from the beating Mir was taking, I think if they didn't take that point away and he pounded him a little longer it would've been stopped for sure. Either way Lesner is a beast and will be very good in a weight class with alot of slow brawlers.

Lesnar was pounding the shit out of him! But the rules are the rules, and you can't hit anyone in the back of the head. Was a bit surprised that they went straight to taking a point from him instead of giving him a warning. But like you said, either way, Brock is a fricken BEAST, and with more MMA experience, he will be a force to be wreckin with!
