POG = Player of the Game DP = Disappointing Performance
Stars 13 R. Thunder 6
POG: CB Marc Andre-Gionta (SD) DP: QB Troy Staubach (TB) Notes: This game ended up a lot closer than people projected. The Stars continue to shuffle their roster to try and salvage as many S1 vets as possible. With a playoff spot all but clinched, they can afford to 'give' away a win if needed to save more points. The RT played another team down to the wire. They've come a long way since last year and have drastically improved their team. Look for them to compete for the top spot next year at this pace. A new WR1 is going to be a 'must' in the off-season.
Cougars 34 Playboys 38
POG: HB Tyler Barabash (SJ) DP: Cougar & Playboys Defensive Units Notes: The Cougars almost pulled off a win, which would've put a hamper in their chase for the #1 overall pick. The Playboys' defense isn't what it used to be, but putting up 34 points is still impressive! Barabash and Parker combined (again) for 400+ yards and had 5 TD's between them. This left Charlie Rice in the shadows with his 10 rec, 178 yd day. Joisey got some work at the CB position and accumulated double-digit tackles and allowed his WR to gain more than 100 yards. A rough day for the Playboys' defense, but a win is a win.. and that seems to be all the underdog Playboys have been doing this season.
Firebirds ? Bunnies ?
POG: TBD DP: TBD Notes: This best-of-three series is tied 1-1. Game 3 to be played at a later date. Analysis to come.
