It should happen.. but it wont. It wasn't illegal, though, at the time. But either way, I still am not convinced he did do it. Unlike Barry, Clemens has always been decent sized, he didnt have sudden major growth. We KNOW Bonds took 'Roids, Clemens it's all a theory. I know CaptO is reading the Mithcell report, hopefully when he gets around to the Clemens sections he could post a few exerpts from it. I'd like to see exactly what it says. Who knows, maybe Mitchell just needed a big name to top it off with and make it so people actually cared? I don't know either way, unless public outcry gets so tough he breaks down and confesses I dont tihnk we will ever no 100% if he did.... **I still findit odd that not 1(real) Red Sox player is on that list and he works for them. The best team in baseball, and nobody in the clubhouse that matters/ affects anything is on that list? Did Clemens take them while he was in Boston by himself?

The only problem with that is, if he was innocent, why hasn't he come forward to defend himself? The truth should be a pretty easy story to tell. Some players are coming forward with stories about recovering from injury. What's Roger's story? This is why I think he's guilty. He was the first to lawyer-up and hasn't said anything since. Even a California jury can see the guilt. I had a lot of respect for this man, but it all went out the window once that report was released.

The Roger Clemens portion of the Mitchell Report is one of the most extensive of all the violations discussions. It comes firsthand from a personal trainer who worked with Clemens in Toronto, then came along with him to New York. His name is Brian McNamee, and he's being indicted for steroid distribution.
Under a plea agreement, anything he says to the feds or to Mitchell which is proven untrue dissolves any lenient sentencing he was given, renews every count against him, and adds another count for purgery. He has an awful lot of reason to be honest. If Clemens can prove he lied, he goes away for a long time. This same trainer worked with Andy Pettitte, and gave information about his HGH use which has been corroborated by Pettitte himself.
McNamee stated he not only procured HGH and steroids for Clemens... he also performed the injections.

Clemens didn't do anything while he was in Boston? At least not that anyone knows? This particular source didn't meet him until after he left Boston. We can only speculate about what came before. Full text of the Roger Clemens section: Footnote about this Radomski character McNamee was getting the drugs from: most of the players named in the Mitchell Report are connected to Radomski in some way or another. That section, with the exception of BALCO, is largely a story of this man and his growing web of personal contacts in MLB. Like McNamee, he has been indicted and is cooperating with authorities. Unlike McNamee, Radomski has corroborated huge portions of his story with phone numbers, shipping receipts, and copies of deposited checks and money orders. He's an extremely reliable witness.
