Recap: The Playboys gameplan in this one was to try to run all over the Cougars using the Carolina Panthers offense. However, their running back, Tyler Barabash, was kept mostly in check for the game. This game was a defensive battle, with a interceptions and pick 6's by the Playboys keeping them in it. However, the Playboys couldn't get anything going on offense, especially their passing attack. Toby Parker only completed about 30% of his passes, which usually doesn't get it done. Key Stat: The Playboys only controlled the ball for 44% of the game. Time of possession is a staple of Playboy football, but it worked against them this game. Screenshot that Says It All: A rookie beating a S1 vet. Ouch. Hero for the Cougars: Avery Day. Away from the spotlight, this guy had 11 tackles and a forced fumble to spark the Cougar defense. Goat for the Cougars: Nelson Rosario. I know I’m being hard on a rookie, but being shut out of the stat sheet is never good. Hero for the Playboys: Tambo Madison. One incredibly lucky catch by him kept the game close. Goat for the Playboys: Toby Parker. Except for aforementioned lucky play, Parker did not have a stellar game, completing 8 of 26 passes.
