Stars come up big in 21-9 rout of Roseville! The San Diego Stars came away with a big win this week against the Bunnies in a crucial Southern Division match-up. This performance may have gotten the Stars confidence back after a tough loss against the Philadelphia Firebirds in week 3. Bam Risso stepped up this week and fired for 300+ yards and three touchdowns this week, as the Stars scored 21 points against an above average Bunny secondary. Victor Cross had a tough time on the ground, mainly because he did not get many chances to break for big gains. Aaron Wilson stepped up his game as well this week, hauling in four passes for 96 yards and a 72 yard touchdown that would end up being the game winning play.More impressively, the Stars shutdown defense played another stellar game, holding Richard Lafferty and the Bunnies offense to only one field goal, including only 159 yards of total offense. Chuck Wicker picked off Brandon Pitzer on a fourth quarter drive that all but sealed it up for the Stars. T-Dawg Sooner and Tomko Brewski had very stellar performances as well, recording seven tackles each. The Stars (3-1) are on the right track to playing in the Pasta Bowl only 8 weeks from now.

Thoughts...well, maybe so -- but through 4 weeks DJ is now > Smeltzer in yards, ypg, tot. TD's, yac, ypc. But, yeah, it's cool that Smeltzer led for 3 weeks.

After this weeks game, Brunxa should be in the mix too.

I'm sure you can count on him to catch a 70 yd TD pass every game. I'll pat DJ on the ass next time I see him for being promoted to the 3rd best WR in the league mid-way through W4.

Don't worry, I'll gladly be rooting for Smeltzer to accumulate lots of stats along the way. How's that minus-12 treatin' ya? Glad Risso could contribute a minus-16 to Diop with a garbage time INT/TD. Good luck with that. At least DJ will be 3rd best ABOVE Smeltzer.

I think DJ is the 4th best WR behind Sexxxy, Rice, and Brunxa (in no order)... and if Lafferty hadn't of switched to TE last week, I'd list him above DJ as well. A team with nothing to lose (Bunnies) can be a dangerous thing.. I guarantee you're going through a lot more stress right now than I am, considering your team is expected to win. Considering all the band-aids you added with FA signings... it looks like you need to win this year or it wont happen... period. Good luck. ;D

That -16 from break tackle and strength is really going to slow Diop down.
Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Well how's Diop going to pancake now? Duh!!!
I'm not really stressed. With you and the Tumbling Dolts in our division we should be setup for back-to-back pasta bowl berths. We'll see though, maybe you guys will pull off a Firebird-ian upset -- never know, just gotta let the games play out.
