1-1: Tampa Bay Rolling Thunder:
QB - Troy Staubach
College: Navy
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 230 lbs
If Mr. Simms does not find a decent enough trade offer, this is the pick for the Rolling Thunder as this is the #1 QB on many team's boards as Avechuchos has already proven his activity by building a 99 OVR WR as a FSJ veteran. Staubach is also one of the few QBs that can see over the linemen to make the accurate reads. The QB position is the #1 team need for the new Rolling Thunder. So far in P4, Avechuchos has 12 TPE.
Other Possible Picks:
QB - King Abdullah (3 TPE)
QB - C.R. Van Wyjhe (8 TPE)
RB - Edgerrin Jones-Drew (8 TPE)
1-2: Roseville Bunnies:
RB - Edgerrin Jones-Drew
College: Michigan
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 210
After the Bunnies traded away Jordan Allen, I would assume they will grab the best player in the draft, the league's #1 updater, and an urgent need for the team at RB with Edgerrin Jones-Drew. This is a perfect situation where the best player meets the team's needs, the bunnies are lucky that the Pythons do not need a RB this season. EJD is the fastest back in the league and will be able to step in right away for the Bunnies. Larssen has endless updating skillz if he puts his mind to it. EJD has already earned 8 TPE during P4, expect this number to skyrocket now that the Pasta Bowl is over with.
Other Possible Picks:
QB - King Abdullah (3 TPE)
QB - Greg Bates (0 TPE)
U - Christian Ruud (14 TPE)
1-3: Roseville Bunnies:
QB - King Abdullah
College: Florida
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 247 lbs
After the retirement of their perennial All-Pro QB, DeMarcus Vick, the Bunnies look to add youth and activity at the QB position. If the Pythons go as planned and take Staubach at #1, that leaves the Bunnies with Abdullah. Questions loom with this QB, as he keeps asking to be redshirted and has been deemed more annoying than Matty. This kid has came into the league and made sure everybody knew he was here, but not in a positive way though. He does have some upside as he did submit a gfx for P4 already and has shown activity. He is the largest QB in the draft at 6'6" so no problems seeing over the lines for him. His arm is the true question for him as he went a different route with his atts than others by building his awareness first before working on his accuracy and power
Other Possible Picks:
QB - Greg Bates (0 TPE)
U - Christian Ruud (14 TPE)
1-4: St. Joseph Playboys:
WR/TE - Nelson Rosario
College: UCLA
Height: 6'5''
Weight: 220 lbs
With Rice, Andrews, Johnson all FAs, that opens up big holes for the Playboys if they can not return their FA vets. Rosario is another loose cannon deemed worse than Matty, but with the very thin WR/TE rookie class, expect the Playboys to get him early. Rosario benefited from a 3M XUDRFA contract in S5 with the bunnies so that puts him a leg up on the other WRs in the draft class. Rosario has shown signs of activity in all areas (media, GFX, PTs). His catching isn't superb, but is adequate for a rookie. This pick will be effected the most by FA signings, as the Playboys could bring back majority of their receiving corp and secondary then have fewer holes to fill. I could see a couple ex-Pythons going at this pick if watchthis and the other Playboys can reconcile their previous differences. It is so difficult every year to predict what the Playboys are going to do.
Other Possible Picks:
U - Christian Ruud (14 TPE)
WR - Lemon Roberts (14 TPE)
WR - Darell Martinez (1 TPE)
1-5: Philadelphia Firebirds:
U - Christian Ruud
College: Nebraska
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 250 lbs
The Firebirds have a fast aging defense with S1 vets at MLB, OLB, CB1, and CB2. The Firebirds would be lucky to have Ruud drop this far in the draft, because he is hyper-active and has proven activity and knowledge of the league and Madden. Being as Ruud has listed himself as an Utility player he has the most versatility of any player in the rookie class and can fill any hole for the Firebirds. Ruud is one of the few players whose draft stock will be least effected by FA.
Other possible picks:
CB - Cole Allen (20 TPE)
RB - Marion Barbarian (7 TPE)
S/LB - Keith Finnegan (1 TPE)
1-6: Carolina Cougars:
S/LB - Keith Finnegan
College: Syracuse
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 235 lbs
The Cougars need as much help and activity as they can steal to be on their team, especially on defense with so many inactive vets if they want to turn around their 0-12 record in S5. Finnegan had a proven RB known as Moot, but he is now retired and the focus is now on Finnegan. Hopefully Finnegan has a different attitude than Moot did as a Playboy and doesn't try to destroy this team from the inside. The Cougars may be looking at RB in Marion Barbarian, but I do not know how the Barbarian would react to being on a proven losing team and having to wear a 49ers uniform.
