Pierce is a great scorer.. but he shoots so often and so poor from the field, it's going to take away from the other two players who are used to getting the ball often. No argument with the Allen frailty comment...but Pierce may find it easier to score with Allen and KG in the lineup...because teams will be forced to keep (at least) 2 people around to account for KG. I'm thinking that the Celtics center (whomever is in the lineup at the time) will benefit more than any of their Big3...because KG (in most games I've watched) spends a lot of time on the perimeter...forcing the defense to spread out more. Teams will be so focused on watching those three...that it will open up more opportunities for everyone else on the team.

KG will be fine.. he can play anywhere and be great. The thing with KG is...he can play as great as he wants (needs) to...but it still hasn't amounted to much for him. Yes, he'll have better (albeit aging) talent around him now...but if the Celtics can't find a coach (because they had talent last year...and the year before...etc...), it will be all for naught.

The Eastern Conference is so weak, his numbers will actually RISE from last years.. or the last decade for that matter.IDK how much more his numbers will rise...because you've already indicated (not in these exact words) that Pierce is a ball-hog. He's also not getting any younger.

Wolves are getting some wonderful talent. I've always loved Al Jefferson. Throw in Gerald Green and Gomes and you've got some future. No questions here, however...

Did I mentioned the TWO 1st rd picks? They got Brewer this past draft to compliment Ricky Davis (also getting older).... 1-2 years of rebuilding.. and we'll start seeing the results of this trade. Boston will be without Allen by then! What has the T-Wolves done the last decade with their draft/FAs to help KG win a title...or even a playoff matchup...
1-2 years of rebuilding? How many times do they need to rebuild? What happened to the results of the last 10 years of trades, draftees and free agent signings? It's Minnesota. Not to mention...if the Eastern Conference is the weaker conference (as you have very adamantly indicated) then do you really expect to see a "rebuilding" T-wolves compete with a reloading Phoenix, San Antonio, LA, Dallas, (etc...) teams. Lets not forget where the first two picks of the draft went...out West. Not to Minnesota...but to guys that Minnesota will have to contend with on a regular basis.
You can diss the Celtics all you want...but you have failed to consider the flaws that reside in the Minnesota Coaching/GM regime. Until all that's fixed...I would expect (at best...and really stretching it) first round exits for many years to come.
