Anyway, the SEC may have more depth but they can't match what the Big XII has with Texas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Outside of those three there is a big dropoff and the SEC being a better conference may be a decent argument. The Arkansas being better than Oklahoma argument is absolutely ridiculous, though. Arkansas is just a team that pretty much has a ceiling of 3 wins. They are a 3-6 loss team every year and don't generally compete for a title and don't finish years strong. WOW, Eielson you are really changing my mind about you as you are including the tradition of Nebraska into your argument with your beloved Sooners. We can now add Missouri and KAnsas as good teams, but 2nd tier to NU, OU, and UT

That's just this year, Wilber. I'd like to see Kansas put together 5 years of good 8+ win teams.
Oklahoma is gonna kick Mizzou's ass... OSU (Big-10) is gonna play West Virginia (Big East) for the title.. Even though my teams usually benefit (and I've been pretty neutral in the past), I am finally willing to admit we need a playoff system really badly.

If Arkansas went over and played in a weaker conference, you'd see the same results, or close to. Really? Does that explain why you've won 2 of your last 13 bowl games? And 0 National Championships compared to OU's 7? 1) You lost to Boise St. on a gadget play 2) Our coach blows.. he's a solid regular season coach, but can't win in the playoffs or bowl games.. when it matters. Arkansas is better than they appear, but it's not shown. Losing McFadden and possibly Felix Jones could result in a rebuilding year as early as next year. 3) Any other argument other than 'they can't win a bowl game' ?

Eielson, I told you to do your homework... 1) They finished 8-4 this year with 1/3 of their schedule vs ranked teams 2) Finished 10-4 last year after winning the SEC West by going 7-1 in a tough conference. 3) Razorbacks are 73-48 over the past 10 years. 1998-99 Arkansas Razorbacks 9-3 81.8% 1999-00 Arkansas Razorbacks 8-4 66.7% 2000-01 Arkansas Razorbacks 6-6 50.0% 2001-02 Arkansas Razorbacks 7-5 58.3% 2002-03 Arkansas Razorbacks 9-5 64.3% 2003-04 Arkansas Razorbacks 9-4 69.2% 2004-05 Arkansas Razorbacks 5-6 45.5% 2005-06 Arkansas Razorbacks 4-7 36.4% 2006-07 Arkansas Razorbacks 10-4 71.4% 2007-081 Arkansas Razorbacks1 8-4 57.1% Razorbacks Total Arkansas Razorbacks 75-48 61% I wont go into detail how they just set records by having the only two tailbacks to rush for 1,000 yards in back to back seasons.. or how they've won the SEC West 3 times in the past 7 years. True, if we were in the Big 12, those numbers would be inflated. I'm not sure what got up your ass.. is it because Nutt used to coach Boise St.? or that he graduated from Oklahoma St.? Anyways, no one said Arkansas was better than OU, that's something you brought into the convo for some reason. Point being, Arkansas is far from 3 win team year after year. They have premium RB's and play in the toughest conference in NCAAF (am I beating a dead horse). I could dig up some more stats, but this should suffice.

Ball hits the ground on Tennessee's first TD in OT, and the refs blow the call. Just one of numerous blown calls by the refs. Please, spare me the lecture of 'these things happen.' The refs cost Kentucky the win today... even when they clearly outplayed Tennessee in the 2nd half and OT. I'm neutral for both teams, but Tennessee is way overated and has been all year.. you can chalk up this 'win' to the refs. On a lighter note... GO HOGS!! WOOHOOOO!! NFL > NCAAF A wins a win, baby. Good Old Rocky Top, Rocky Top Tennessee. And like falcon said, the refs didnt lose the game for Kentucky, Woodson did by trying to run.

I'll be back but I gotta go right now.

Are you kidding me? The SEC is above and beyond any other conference. If you're talking history I dont know or really care, but for as long as Ive been payin attention to college football the SEC is top to bottom the best conference in the nation by far

2) Our coach blows.. he's a solid regular season coach, but can't win in the playoffs or bowl games.. when it matters. Which is why you aren't have as much fun with college football as you should be.

TRIPLE POST! Yeah, but he's moving on to Baylor.. who knows who we'll get to fill the void. Athletic Director is leaving.. football coach is leaving (as far as we know).. and we have a brand new basketball coach.. McFadden (and Jones?) are leaving... could be a rough few years coming up!
